Beenova product is created from  locally farmed botanical ingredients, picked up from Sonoma county herbal exchange, which is  supplied by a diverse network of dedicated herb growers from Sonoma county and adjoining regions of northern California. All vendors at herbal exchange follow organic methods, and all botanicals provided by them are in fresh, hand-harvested, top quality whole herbs or roots. All the oils in our skin product are cold pressed, 99% certified organic. Some of the oils are not refined, so they may have their natural odor. Working with  as many local, organic, regenerative, and biodynamic farmers as possible is what we can do to participate and make a tangible difference in my skin product for my customers.

All my  infused oils are made at my lab from locally farmed herbs. I have some dried herbs and oils purchased internationally too, as they are not available locally.

60% of our products are not vegan. We use beeswax, propolis, bee pollen, honey and I have Emu Oil in some of my products as well.

Our goal is to source our product domestically as much as possible. Some face creams and body butters are not vegan. I enjoy making creams from local honey, beeswax, bee pollen and honey. Chestnut honey and propolis are exported from the country of Georgia.

The reason I have chosen my ingredients is that  I am inspired by the beauty of recipes of Cleopatra the queen of Egypt (in BCE). Because of the hot and dry climate in Egypt, Cleopatra had a solution for her skin, hair and body. The main ingredients in her recipe were honey, milk, sea salt made into a scrub with thick cream and egg yolks. To give her hair shine and strength, she used almond and castor oil. Her favorite perfume was rose, frankincense, cypress and neroli.
