Velvet is a luxurious, protective face moisturizing serum formulated with Vitamin C, Hyaluronic Acid, Niacinamide, N-Acetylglucosamine, and Allantoin. This premium serum enhances hydration and improves overall skin tone, delivering a radiant and revitalized complexion.

How to Use: Apply a few drops to your fingertips and massage gently over clean skin. Follow with your choice of moisturizer, cream, face balm, or face oil.

Hyaluronic Acid locks in moisture in the skin from the outside.

Niacinamide, aka B(3) reduces the appearance of hyperpigmented spots. It can increase skin’s keratin, ceramides, and barrier lipids which results in a reduction of transepidermal water loss and an increase in collagen synthesis. It also behaves as an anti-inflammatory and enhances skin’s barrier functions. “Niacinamide is an effective skin lightening compound that works by inhibiting melanosome transfer from melanocytes to keratinocytes”.

N-acetyl Glucosamine (NAG) has been shown to reduce hyperpigmentation when combined with niacinamide. NAG is an amino sugar that has skin exfoliating properties similar to alpha and beta hydroxyl acids without the irritation. It can normalize the exfoliation of the stratum corneum, so it can be a good replacement for acid based exfoliating ingredients that might annoy sensitive or rosacea prone skin.
Allantoin is present in botanical extracts of the comfrey plant. It softens skin (It’s a keratolytic, meaning it helps the keratin to soften), causes rapid cell regeneration and proliferation, and is approved by the FDA. It also prevents and protects chafed, chapped, cracked, or windburned skin by speeding up the natural processes of the skin and increasing the water content.

Vitamin C (aka Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate) can stimulate collagen production as well as clarifying and brightening the skin by inhibiting melanogenesis (the production of pigment) to  promote a more even skin tone.

DL Panthenol: Studies have shown that "DL Panthenol“ promotes stimulation of epithelization, granulation, and has an anti-inflammatory effect. When used in formulations over the course of three to four weeks, it has the potential to improve the appearance of the skin, including dryness, roughness”.
